1-24

Sorry for the less than daily updating, there just hasn't been any big news.  I went back to work today and it was really sweet to see everyone and get to brag on how the Lord got our girls here!  It was nice to be distracted for a little while at first but definitely got more difficult as the day went on.   A nap is definitely in order for me as soon as this update is done!  Yesterday afternoon Jonathan started feeling a little under the weather with a tickle in his throat and sneezing, so we came home early and rested.  The bug seems to be making its way out of his system, but we're planning to stay home tonight to make sure that we don't take any little bugs up to the girls.

Speaking of the girls.....they're doing about the same.  Lydia is getting her milk fortified now so that she'll be getting some more calories with her breast milk.  She's been stooling fine for the past few days too.  Penny is still on the oscillator and is sssslllloooowwwllly getting weaned off. She's just taking her own sweet time.  Her x-ray is still showing some slight haziness which means some fluid in her lungs.  She's started back on trophic (just a little bit...like .5 ccs) feeds to see how her little gut handles it.

Because there is another set of twins coming in that needs the twin room, Lydia has been moved down the hall to what will be our new rooms.  They are holding the room next to Lydia open for when Penelope can move, but for now she has to stay because the oscillator is difficult to transport, even if it's just down the hall.

We got an email from Mr Doyle this morning saying that Faith was in her last stages.  I haven't heard anything after that and have no way to find out other than wait for an email.  Please keep that family in your prayers as they face this.

Specific Prayer:
  • Penny to get off of the oscillator
  • Penny to tolerate her trophic feeds
  • Lydia to continue to gain weight
  • The Doyle family
  • Jonathan and me to get/stay well so we can see our babies
