3-29

Thank you so much for your prayers for Penny.  She's almost back to where she was before her little episode.  I think she'll probably stay on the high flow canula for a while just to keep her nasal passages humidified and avoid blockages (aka boogers).  She was suctioned really thoroughly yesterday afternoon and produced a nice...shall we say..specimen...and was breathing much better after that.  I got a good long visit with her yesterday during which she took her whole bottle and looked around peacefully while I played a recording of her daddy reading her favorite book.  It was very precious.  She did lose 2 oz last night because of the diuretics she had yesterday that were given to reduce some fluid in her lungs.  Lets just hope she picks those ounces back up quickly.  The name of the game at this point is weight gain.  I wish I could lend her my excellent weight gaining skills.  Unfortunately she has to do this one on her own.  I'm on my way to see her now and can't wait to tell her all about her friends who have been praying faithfully for her.

Lydia is still doing well.  She's been a bit fussy with her bottles lately so we're trying to figure out what it is that she's trying to tell us.  It's most likely that she shan't tolerate a cool or slightly aged bottle. It must be fresh and warm and properly administered or the lady shall refuse it.  We're in trouble.

Jonathan is doing pretty well on the road considering the circumstances.  We get to video chat often and that is a blessing.  There is a raging cold virus going through the buses like the plague and he's trying to avoid it...well...like the plague. He's just purchased his second bottle of Lysol and seems to be doing ok so far.  We were hoping to maybe sneak up to Nashville this week since the tour will be there but with all of those germs it's not worth the risk.  We'll just have to enjoy being only hours apart.

Specific Prayer
  • Penny's booty (still pretty gnarly)
  • Penny's weight gain
  • Lydia's particularities
  • Lydia's protection from germs
  • Jonathan's protection from germs
  • Praises upon praises that we still have our two precious girls
